FOOD FOR THOUGHT

I guess I’m kinda bored.  Dennis is on a business trip and Mitch and I are home watching the Ryder Cup.  Don’t you just love that Cadillac commercial where the guy thinks all the gorgeous girls are looking at him?  Especially when he steps off the curve.  Anyway, it’s overcast outside and humid so that’s my excuse for staying inside.  I’ve just tried to duplicate the spinach pizza that I am addicted to at Tea Thyme in Marble Falls.  They use a rice paper for the crust and it is just delicious.  I’ve just got to get that recipe (speaking of Stepford Wives).  Yesterday, I went to the store to get rations so I can hibernate and enjoy the empty nest and I planned on getting lots of stuff done—so far that hasn’t happened....

YOU GIVE ME FEVER……...

WE CAME, WE SAW, WE PADDLED

Every once in a while, I’ll do something that reminds me why I live where I do.  You’ve heard me say many times, I live in the best part of the best state in the best country in the world.  But no matter where you live you kinda get anesthetized-you know, you get to where you don’t notice it any more until something wakes you up.  Today was a reminder of what an incredible area this part of the Texas hill country is.  This morning, I got a couple of friends together and we met at the GO PADDLE DOWN hut in Marble Falls.  Neither Sharon, Susan, or I had ever done this before and truth be known, I had fretted just a little thinking I may have gotten in over my head (ha!...
